Lightweight is an innovative light sharing concept promoting an urban space metamorphoses by the combined action of citizens.

The users are invited to redefine the social context by collecting a light-totem from one of the light-sources spread through the urban space, which are both fixed lighting and a dispenser for light-totems, charged through renewable energy.

The light-totems are provided through an easy interface, having various shapes and are able to emit different colours and intensities of light, as well as sounds and vibrations.

The user carries them, creating a suitable and comfortable atmosphere in order to adapt the urban light to his activities and wishes: reading, talking, walking, sharing emotions…

The Light-totems interact with the light-sources via wireless, sending their status and position and receiving stimulus; this interaction creates a playground for new collective experiences and crowd based gaming, giving the user a sense of belonging to a community.
